Financial Assistance

We provide emergency and medically necessary care on a nonprofit, non-discriminatory basis. Our financial assistance program supports low-income patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or ineligible for Medicaid or other coverage.

You may qualify if:

You lack insurance or your insurance does not cover needed care
You are ineligible for Medicaid or other insurance programs
You meet our financial criteria

If you cannot pay your bill by the due date, call 785-738-9502 to set up a payment plan. To apply for financial assistance, complete the Application for Financial Assistance and return it to our office.

Insurance Coordinator Services

Our Insurance Coordinator, Connie Tyler, is a marketplace certified application counselor dedicated to helping you with all your health insurance needs—free of charge.

Services include:

Assistance with health insurance plan comparisons and online applications
Guidance on Marketplace and Medicare questions year-round
Support with Medicaid (KanCare) eligibility and renewal

Health Insurance Marketplace:

Access affordable private health plans at healthcare.gov.
Open Enrollment runs November 1 – January 15. You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you experience life events such as job changes, loss of insurance, moving, marriage/divorce, birth/adoption, or turning 26.
Survivors of domestic violence can apply at any time by calling 800-318-2596.
