Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy Department at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems helps patients recover movement, manage pain, and regain independence after injury, surgery, or illness. We treat a wide range of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

Who We Help

We provide care for:

  • Orthopedic and sports injuries
  • Acute Injury, Sprains, Strains
  • Chronic Pain
  • Vestibular disorders, BPPV, and vertigo
  • Post-concussion symptoms
  • Neurologic conditions (including stroke and Parkinson’s)
  • Geriatric mobility concerns (weakness or deconditioning)

Services are available for inpatients, outpatients, and residents of the care center.

Treatment Approaches

Our team creates individualized treatment plans using:

  • Therapeutic exercise and gait training
  • Manual therapy and tissue mobilization
  • Neuromuscular/balance rehabilitation
  • Electrical stimulation, ultrasound, lontophoresis
  • Traction
  • Kinesiotaping and cupping
  • PWR! for Parkinson’s disease

Certifications

Our therapists maintain advanced training and certifications, including expertise in vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management and specialized programs such as PWR! for Parkinson’s treatment.
